Raspberry Sweet Tea-Tini Recipe!
Updated: Jun 20, 2021
As I was going through the drive-thru at my local fast food restaurant for my kids (ok, maybe I grabbed some curly fries for me too...), the cheeseburger meal my son wanted came with a soft drink... but he didn't want the soft drink, so I ordered myself a sweet tea instead.

As I drove away with the sun roof open, sun shining on my hair, sipping my sweet tea, I thought... this would make a great martini (not while driving, of course!)
I got home, ran to the kitchen, brewed some tea and grabbed my raspberries and cocktail shaker... and the Raspberry Sweet Tea-Tini was born!
Ingredients
1.5 ounces vodka (you can use tea flavored vodka, but I didn't)
1 ounce of brewed cooled tea
1/2 ounce of raspberry liquor
1 ounce simple syrup (1/2 cup water & 1/2 cup sugar, recipe below)
a little sprinkle of sugar for the rim of the glass
Directions
Start making your simple syrup: on your stove top, simmer on low the 1/2 cup water & 1/2 cup sugar, constantly stirring until melted, remove from heat.
Pour the extra sugar on a plate. Wet the rim of a martini glass and roll the rim in the sugar.

Add ice to a cocktail shaker and pour 1.5 ounces of vodka, 1 ounce of brewed tea, 1/2 ounce raspberry liquor, 1 ounce of simple syrup and shake vigorously.
Strain into sugar-rimmed martini glass. Garnish with raspberries and enjoy!
Makes 1 cocktail but you will have extra simple syrup for your Cocktail #2! If you prefer less sweet, reduce the simple syrup a little and increase the tea. Enjoy!
