Fall's in Full Swing at Benedict's in Connecticut !!!

It's halfway through the month of October and fall is in full swing !!!

Living in the northeast is a perfect place to experience fall -- it's almost like every where you turn there are farms, pumpkin patches, and apple orchards. In fact, there's a wonderful farm within walking distance to my house in Monroe, Connecticut, called Benedict's Home & Garden.

Growing up in this town, I've seen changes but one thing that has remained the same classic destination is Benedict's Home & Garden. Located at 480 Purdy Hill Road in Monroe, Connecticut, Benedict's Home & Garden is a year-round event for EVERYONE!!!

Not only can you buy power equipment: chain saws, rider mowers, & generators, but you can buy fertilizer, gardening items, plants and shrubs, and guess what else you can buy there????

Chickens!!! And all the necessary items that go along with raising chickens: feed, pellets, etc. Don't you think it's time you thought about raising some chickens???

This one-stop shop is well-known for its four seasons of fun... and autumn is no exception.

What else can you find at Benedict's Home & Garden during sweater weather??? Tons of activities for the entire family of all ages and a great spot for weekend fun!

A relaxing hay ride, cow's path nature trail and a meandering corn maze are available on site for a small fee (a combo fee is available for these activities too). A free hay maze is adjacent to the corn maze and you will most certainly see the chickens and resident ducks that dot the farm.

The indoor gift shop has thousands of pumpkins of different sizes, shapes and colors. The picture perfect spot in front of their local "farmer" is a must-see with the kids!!!

Benedict's Home & Garden is the social media backdrop for those awesome pics you are posing for to post on the web.

The staff is amazing, the inventory is vast and the selection is like no other. Autumn is in the air here at Benedict's Home & Garden -- the orange, yellow and brown colors of the season are abundant at the farm -- put this wonderful farm on your list if you come visit here in Monroe, CT!

Check back later on in the season to see how they transform this farm into a winter wonderland -- more on that later. In the meantime, I'm off to carve the pumpkins and finish decorating the house !!!
